Abstract

In order to evaluate and comparison of six promised and new kabuli type chickpea genotypes with a check (Djam or Jam) in autumn planting, this research was conducted in complete blocks design in three region at farmers rainfed fields in Urmia, Oshnaviyeh and Piranshahr. The results of simple analysis of variance in three towns indicated the superiority of (Flip98-138C×SEL99TH15039), (Flip 98-130C×Flip 97-23C) and (FLIP 98-130C×FLIP 97-23C) with average yield of 1258, 1518 and 1574 kg/ha respectively, with comparison of check (Djam) with average yield of 979, 965 and 1295 kg/ha respectively. The combined analysis of variance also showed the significant differences between genotypes for all traits except the days to 90% maturity. Mean comparisons showed the superiority of lines (FLIP 98-130C×FLIP97-23C), (Flip97-20C×Flip98-178C) and ((ILC4291×Flip98-129C) ×S98008) with 1399, 1298 and 1255 kg/ha respectively, with comparison of check (Djam) with 1080 kg/ha. Therefor two lines, two and six were selected for high yielding and other agronomic characteristics to introducing for farmers in autumn planting.
